Asc 促进半胱天冬酶介导的细胞凋亡。这种促凋亡活性主要通过半胱天冬酶-9 的活性介导。它是炎症小体的一个组成部分,炎症小体是包含 NLRP3/NALP3、CARD8 和 CASP1 的蛋白复合体,其功能是激活促炎性半胱氨酸蛋白酶。
